IDEAS AND GENERAL PHILOSOPHICAL RAMBLINGS

The 1967 hit song "I was Kaiser Bill's Batman" by Whistling Jack Smith was originally the theme for an unfinished Batman movie directed by the German writer Kristopher Totberg (pseudonym Kaiser Bill). The movie was entirerely lisences, without D.C. intervention. Tottberg was given free-hand to the selection of characters, the plot and such. The film was cancelled last-second by D.C. for how unbelievably awful and cheap it was. Imagine Batman vs. Dracula (Filipino film) but made with permission, but with 0 good writing. The song was originaly in a darker theme, and less "novelty-pop" feel. After the cancellation, the song was re-written and given it humorous tone. The name "Kaiser Bill's Batman" is a humorous take - the song is silly and goofy, not serious, and Batman is more-serious sided. The name shows how the person feels when playing the Batman, by Kaiser Bill. You get the idea probably.
